My Story
I was born in Illinois, but mostly raised in Oklahoma. I graduated high school in Ardmore, Oklahoma and then went onto Oklahoma State University for two years. I was raised Catholic, but then my sophomore year in college I came to a more personal knowledge of God in my life. It was this day-to-day walk with God that led me to move to Colorado. I spent the next three years in Ft. Collins at Colorado State University where I received my bachelors degree. God then led me through a series of events and confirmations that resulted in attending Denver Seminary where I received my Masters of Arts in Counseling in 1993. I married the love of my life in 1990. Because of his ministry internship that turned into his first associate pastorate, we ended up in Sterling, Colorado where I had a thriving private practice for 6 years. While there I developed and taught a court-ordered class for Parenting After Divorce at Northeastern Junior College. We had our first two sons while living in Sterling. In 1998, we moved to Casper, Wyoming where my husband became a senior pastor. Because it was important to us to be available to our young children, I chose to pause my career. I did some lay counseling over the next several years and we had two more sons. When our youngest son entered public school, I reentered the workforce and became the Adolescent Acute Therapist at a psychiatric hospital working with suicidal, homicidal, and psychotic patients. I received full licensure in the state of Wyoming in 2012. Due to my desire to be more available to my family and to my church, I left the hospital and have been in private practice since 2012. I have since received training in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) in 2015 that has resulted in amazing breakthroughs for many of my clients. I have successfully worked individually with all ages. I also love working with couples and families. It is my joy and privilege to work with a variety of people and love facilitating their healing, breakthrough and freedom. It is my passion to meet people where they are with no judgment. I see each person as powerful in their own right and love helping them access this power.
